Call for Participants

Are you a therapist or therapy Seeker who has provided or attended in-person & online therapy sessions?
Are you interested in being interviewed about your experience?

Information for Therapists

As a therapist offering your mental healthcare service online, would you be interested in being a participant in my research? That entails an interview with you that would last between one hour and 90 minutes. You have to have previously offered in-person therapy prior to online therapy to be a participant in this research.

The questions asked during the interview will revolve around your therapy service, how you delivered your therapy service before offering it online, and how it has changed since you started offering it online. Specifically, my questions will ask how platform features allow you to represent yourself online as a professional and offer your service to your clients. The information you provide during the interview will be used in my dissertation, but you will be referred to using a pseudonym unless you tell me otherwise. You will not be asked questions about specific clients nor will have to answer any questions that you think could compromise the confidentiality of your practice. In any case, I will also protect any identifying information about your practice by using pseudonyms to protect your reputation and clients.

If you are interested in being a participant in my research, please email me at ghalia.shamayleh@mail.concordia.ca
We can find a time that works for you to have a virtual meeting for the interview!

Please rest assured that you will not be questioned about the specificities of your treatment or the reasons behind seeking the service. The information you provide during the interview will be used in my dissertation, but you will be referred to using a pseudonym with all identifying information removed or altered to protect your privacy.
